- 1,624 boys and girls from Lucas County participated in the 4-H Youth Development Program in 2005
- 4-H clubs enrolled 367 youth, and 1,136 enrolled in 4-H Mini Garden
- 70% of the enrolled youth were from the central city, and 30% were from the rural and suburb sections of the county.

4-H Activity Awards & Scholarship Information
4-H Recognition and Awards come in many forms...Holding an office in our local club...A ribbon at the County Fair...Representing your county at the State Fair. Older 4-H'ers have the opportunity to apply for and receive other types of awards...County Leadership Activity Awards and State Activity Awards. As a Lucas County 4-H member, you have the chance to earn recognition and awards by reporting your goals...The knowledge you have gained and skills you have developed through 4-H.
